Abstract
It seems that after the corona pandemic in the last two years, what is important for human health, especially students, is research in the field of physical activity and its relationship with psychological factors. Therefore, this study aimed to investigating the relationship among self-esteem, physical activity, and perceived competence in adolescent female students under the conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic. One hundred and fiftyfour female students of the first secondary level (age range 13-15 years) were selected as convenience from schools of Shush Danial city in 2019-2022. All participants completed Rosenberg's self-esteem questionnaire, McAuley intrinsic motivation Inventory, and international physical activity questionnaire. Data were analyzed using linear multivariate regression analysis with entry method at a significance level of p<0.05. The results showed that although there is a significant correlation between self-esteem and perceived competence (r= 0.12, p= 0.004), but there was no significant correlation between physical activity and self-esteem and also perceived competence (p>0.05). According to the findings of the present study, it is possible that the lack of statistical significance of the relationship of the physical activity level of the participants with psychological factors such as self-esteem and perceived competence is due to the restrictions resulting from the Corona pandemic
