The Relationship Between Eating Disorder and Perceived Motor Competence of Gifted and Normal High Schools in the Post-COVID-19 Era

Abstract
Since many factors are involved in the development issues of teenagers and this age group can be useful for the future of the society; The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between eating disorder and perceived motor competence of gifted and normal high school students in the post-COVID-19 Era in Arak city. The participants were 384 male and female students from the 10th to 12th grades of secondary high schools with Theoretical disciplines who were selected randomly from normal public high schools (284 people) and by snowball method from the gifted high schools of Arak city (100 people). After signing the consent forms by the participants, the tools used for data collection were Garner’s eating feedback questionnaire and teenagers' perceived motor competence questionnaire. The results of Pearson's correlation coefficient showed significant positive relationship between eating disorder and perceived motor competence (r = 0.198; p = 0/001). It seems the eating disorder is an important related variable in perceived motor competence of teenagers.
