Correlation of psychological capital scales and self-efficacy in student athletes in the era of covid-19

Abstract
The purpose of the current research is to investigate the relationship between self-efficacy and psychological capital of athletes (bodybuilders) in the Corona era. The statistical population of this research is 200 male student athletes who were randomly selected and two self-efficacy and psychological capital questionnaires were distributed among them. Data were analyzed by Pearson correlation tests, analysis of variance and SPSS version 24 software. The findings showed that there was a significant positive relationship between psychological capital and self-efficacy with 99% confidence (α=0.01) and a correlation coefficient of 0.369. Self-efficacy and sub-components of psychological capital (self-efficacy, hope, resilience and optimism) are significant at the level of significance (α = 0.01) with 99 percent confidence and the correlation coefficient of each is 0.196, 0.254, respectively. 0.20 and 0.571. Also, the average psychological capital is equal to 108.63 and the average self-efficacy is 27.56. Also, in the sub-scales of psychological capital, from the highest to the lowest, the averages are 29.25 (self-efficacy), 27.54 (hope), 26.78 (optimism) and 24.97 (resilience). According to the results, it can be concluded that there is a positive relationship between them and that psychological capital and its scales are an important factor for the self-efficacy of people in acute stressful situations such as during the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus and how much the psychological capital of student athletes Bodybuilder) is stronger and bolder, more self-efficacy is seen.
