Abstract
Balance is an inseparable part of daily activities. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of rhythmic jumping fitness exercises on the balance of children with a 6-month follow-up period. The current research was conducted in a semi-experimental way with a pre-test and post-test design with two experimental and control groups. The research sample consisted of 30 elementary school students in the age range of 9-10 years old, who were randomly selected. For the pre-test, Bronineks-Ozortsky motor balance test was taken from both groups. The experimental group performed jumping fitness exercises for 8 weeks and the control group did not receive any intervention. A follow-up test was taken from both groups after six months. In order to analyze the data, a 2x3 composite variance test was used at a significance level of 0.05 using SPSS version 24 software. The results showed that rhythmic jumping exercises had a positive and significant effect on the balance of 9-10-year-old children, so that probably 83% of children's balance changes were influenced by rhythmic jumping fitness exercises. Therefore, it seems that rhythmic jumping exercises improve the static, dynamic balance and central stability of children's bodies and can be used as an exercise to improve children's condition and health level.
